Upspyre was founded to give. Our founder, David B. Carpenter has been blessed to receive in life. He was raised in a wonderful home, and has been happily married for many years. He understands the importance of giving back.
David believes that our work is what we do to maintain our obligations and our lifestyle. Our ministry is what we do to give back. This is how we change the world.
It is our desire that UpSpyre becomes a living legacy to benefit individuals, families, churches, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. People who are looking for a way to make a better life are the backbone of America. As we are allowed to continue to serve our community, our region, our nation, and our world, we want to do more than INspire, we want to take it to the next level and UpSpyre!
Now, how can I help you today? Let’s talk!
After starting my first business, in 2017 I started Upspyre. It began one Sunday when my wife and I were driving to a remote rural area so I could speak in a small congregation. She said to me “You need to be speaking to more people!” and that’s where Upspyre was born.
Shortly after we introduced Upspyre to the world, I completed my training with John C. Maxwell, the world’s leading authority on Leadership and became a part of his team.
Usually, when there is a problem in a business or a church, it is a leadership problem. Creating the right environment and culture for leadership development and growth will change an organization.
This is Mobile, Alabama. It’s where I grew up, and where I live. We love it here. We have three grown children, two are married and live out of state. I love dogs. My beagle is named Flash.
I have worked as a pastor, assistant pastor, and in various roles in education. I helped start a radio station and had a weekly video webcast. I started my first business in 2009. Now I’m on my third one. I consider myself a serial entrepreneur. I enjoy traveling, speaking, collecting vintage microphones, and helping people achieve their personal and financial dreams. I am also a writer and am looking forward to having my first book published soon. I am already working on my second one.
For most people, their greatest fear is public speaking. I recently read that public speaking ranks above death in greatest fears. Really, You’d rather die than stand up and speak in front of a group of people?
Honestly, I guess I’m wired differently.
I do all kinds of speeches. After dinner speeches, keynotes, leadership coaching sessions, and I speak in churches.
But I also train people to overcome their greatest fear. Knowledge brings confidence, and confidence is the antidote to fear.
So how can I serve you? Do you need a speaker for your club or civic group to keep the crowd awake after a big meal? Does your church need to train leaders for the present and the future? Do you want to overcome your fear and become a confident speaker?
I’ll be waiting to hear from you!
My first job was working for Columbia Pictures as an extra in the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” Since then, every other job I’ve had I have been able to help people. I worked my way through college as an optician (that means I delivered eyeglasses, not babies). I managed a RadioShack (if you are under 20, you may need to Google that).
So now I help families, businesses and churches. The backbone of America.
The color of justice in America is green. Normal working-class people have been priced out of the legal system, which has grown too complicated for anyone but lawyers to navigate. I have a way out.
Identity theft has become a major problem, and it isn’t getting any better. Many identity theft protection plans are like a hospital gown- you think you’re covered, but you’re not. I have a solution.
We need to talk today!
I have gone through life collecting tools to help folks. I want to help you. If you are trying to get by in your day-to-day life, if you are a struggling business owner, or if you are a church leader who wonders why your church isn’t reaching people like they could, I have something in my toolbox that will help you! Let’s find out which tool that is.
